Gold, silver and 2 bronze medals in the women’s and men’s student category, is the epilogue of the 24th National Championship on the ergometer for members of the Rowing Club “University of Belgrade.” A total of 11 students (8 male and 3 in female competition)  had performed at the most massive indoor rowing event in Serbia.

With an extremely strong competition, from 43 contestants among the students from University of Novi Sad , the Military Academy, the Military High School and the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education from Belgrade, our female crew won the first three places in the women’s competition, while in the men’s competition won 3rd place. Mila Dujović won a gold, silver Marija Joksimović, while Milica Vodogaz won the bronze medal. Also, in the men’s competition, Luka Martinovic won a bronze medal in the competition for the students.

  “I am very pleased with the achieved results, despite the difficult financial situation in which our club is now, we will continue to work on to repeat this success in the forthcoming competitions outdoor”, said Srdjan Cvetić, in charge of training the male crew. “The excellent results of all the participants! Winter preparatory period finally paid of. Now it is rest period and after that which starts the preparations for the competition outdoor”, said Philip Pejovic, responsible for organizing the training of female crew. “The medals we’ve won are the result of a number of training, which are achieved by all competitors  during the winter. We are particularly proud to have won a medal new members of our club “, said Milos Jevtić the Club president.

Overall, today’s result is the biggest success of the RCBU students achieved in a competition which was confirmed by the trophy for first place in the team ranking. Reaching this historic success were helped by our supporters, including “Nordeus” company, whose donating rowing equipment had enabled preparation for this and incoming competitions.
